a good stay near the best chocolate shop where warm hospitality makes every moment special.
Perfect location steps from all attractions. Friendly staff were helpful regarding my needs. Clean, spacious quad room perfect for our group. Truly a nice experience at Baslertor!

The nearby coffee house was a fantastic find for quick snacks and cozy vibes! Plus, the location was spot on, just a short stroll to very nice restaurants like Restaurant Ammos and Bistro Krienbruggli.
The toilet area smelled like it hadn't been cleaned properly, a bit off-putting. Even worse, our old towels were just folded and put back after housekeeping. It left me questioning the overall cleanliness.

My stay was really nice here. I found the hotel's location great, just next door to all main tourist attraction in the old town, and the river and the center of town. Luckily it was close to Cafe Piccolino, had pastries there when it was cold outside.

Close to the old town. Great room, small clean. Has a pool, but to cold to swim in the middle of winter! Free internet - one of the things seemingly overlooked by many hotels at the moment.
Breakfast is super expensive 18pp. We went into the old town for breakfast every morning for 4 days and never paid that much, even at some of the nicer cafes. Really cheap was at Manor Shoping Centre for 6pp!

The location - just steps to the river and the hub of acitivity. Beautiful boutique kind of hotel, very pleasant, very comfortable. Would have stayed a week if we had time.
Didnt like the breakfast - could be better for the price.

Clean and comfortable accommodations. The bathroom featured a deep bathtub for a nice evening soak.
The interior of the room felt dated with 1980s decor and lacked proper interior locks for security. Cold showers were an issue , despite attempts to fix the hot water system. The uneven surfaces along the route from the train station to the hotel made the walk a bit tricky.

The hotel location only .
The ac temperature was not good , and the remote control for the split was LOCKED,and when I asked them to unlock the remote controller so they refused me and told me that we can't help u and we cant change the temperature, that was the most worst thing about this hotel . they do not allow any one to change the ac temperature and it waz too hot in the room.i stayed there for two horrible night of my whole Europe trip and I have to keep the windows open even at night . it waz very bad experience staying in baslertor summer pool hotel . I wont recommend it to anyone at any cost.

The central location was excellent with lots of Bars & Restaurants within easy reach.
The rooms were nice but needed some modernising. The pillows were awful. The receptionist tried charging us a much higher rate on check out and charged for breakfast - until we proved we had not had breakfast (hadn't even booked breakfast) and had to present the confirmation booking email to get discounted price. The Pool was filthy - I know this was not prime season but we booked the Hotel thinking it would be nice to have a pool and in the end didn't use it as it was covered in dead flies, etc.

Great location, close to all the main attractions & shopping area!!
We reserved a non smoking room, but the room smelt terribly of cigarette smoke, not very nice if you are a non smoker!! When I asked the attendant if this was a non smoking room she replied yes, proceeded into the room & said she could not smell anything, but also stated she was a smoker!! She gave us air freshener instead of offering for our room to be changed!! Great help she was!! Not!!!!!!
